Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Maca Smoothie
This is one of my daughter's favorites. It is the perfect sweet-tooth satisfier without any artificial sugars! It is a creamy, filling smoothie that is sure to give you enough protein and energy to last you through a long morning.
To make it thicker, add less almond milk or add some greek/coconut yogurt. My daughter, Julia, likes it really thick, almost like a smoothie bowl so she can add toppings, but if you want a drink on the run, add 200ml. of almond milk and you'll be all set!
This recipe has 2 superfood powders; raw cacao and maca.
Cacao has a never-ending list of health benefits. It contains anandamide, often called the "bliss molecule" that improves moods. It also releases endorphins and increases brain levels of serotonin to further boost that mood! Aside from keeping you happy, cacao also improves memory, reduces heart disease, provides lots of energy, sheds fat, and much more.
