Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation has been practiced for over 2600 years. It is a secular practice meaning it is not associated with any religion and can be practiced by people from any religion or no religion at all. It does have its roots in the Buddhist tradition.

What is mindfulness? Mindfulness meditation is becoming aware of the present moment by focusing on the breath.

Mindfulness meditation has been shown to have many benefits including resilience, strength, and clarity of mind. Many of my patients who experience anxiety, insomnia, lack of focus, anger, stress, digestive issues and other manifestations find that their symptoms are greatly helped by a consistent mindfulness meditation practice.

This practice is a simple practice but it is by far not easy.
