About me

I have been practicing holistic medicine for over twenty-five years since I started my practice in New York City in 1995. In 1999, we moved our family and my practice to Old Greenwich, CT, where I’ve been helping people ever since.

  • In 1995, I received my Masters degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine from the Tristate College of Acupuncture in Manhattan and became certified in Chinese herbal medicine. I’m licensed to practice acupuncture in New York and Connecticut and am certified by the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

At the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, I became a certified health coach which gave me the tools to mentor clients to achieve their wellness goals and cultivate sustainable, positive health choices.  By addressing all aspects of health including eating, relationships, exercise, career and spirituality, I guide clients to become healthier and happier in all aspects of their lives.

My connection and motivation to pursue this career is very personal. Back in my twenties, I experienced heart issues and discovered that sugar can cause a myriad of problems, including heart valve problems.  After removing sugar from my diet and learning the value of whole foods, my health issues resolved, and my passion for nutrition was born.  Subsequently, I discovered I had ovarian cysts and, not wanting to have surgery, I turned to Chinese herbal medicine and the cysts disappeared. Years later, I went to a Chinese medical practitioner for infertility and was able to have two children with the help of Chinese herbs and acupuncture.  It was then that I decided to embark on the study of the comprehensive system of Chinese medicine with a focus on nutrition. I have experienced the life-changing effects of holistic medicine myself and now devote my life to sharing my knowledge with others.
